The Tirtagangga Water Palace is just 15 kilometers away from Amed. It's one of the sightseeing highlights in Bali. All sorts of colorful flowers bloom everywhere, countless Koi carp swim in the large water basins and the many stone buildings and sculptures simply create a very special flair.

You can relax in a small, beautiful café located above the garden where you have a great view of the whole area.

Rice fields

In the surrounding of Amed there are many and really gigantic rice fields! You can combine it with a trip to the Tirtagangga Water Palace. On the way there you will pass some rice fields, all of which make postcard motifs. Just stop at the roadside, take out the camera and snap.

The Pura Lempuyang Temple is a Hindu / Balinese temple that is located approx. 15 km south of Amed. The special thing about the temple is that it is located on a 180 meter high mountain of the same name. The temple itself is not considered a tourist attraction, but rather the famous Heavenly Gate of Pura Lempuyang. There you have a perfect view of Mount Agung and with the setting sun, the complex becomes a mystical place.

Japanese Shipwreck

The Japanese shipwreck is a popular diving site in Lipah Bay. Located around 7 km off the coast of Lipah Beach, this 20-metre-long wreck of a Japanese freighter is about 6 to 10 metres underwater. The waters are relatively calm, so good swimmers can make their way to the site with just a mask and snorkel.
